My book report: smile

My Book Report: Smile
Smile is a great story by Raina Telgemeier, it is based on her childhood. In this story, there is a lot of dental drama as well as friendship drama. Smile is a comic so it is quite easy to read and the pictures are amazing so I definitely recommend you read this book.

A village comes to the rescue

A village comes to the rescue
It is said that it takes a whole village to raise a child, but today it takes a whole village to save a dog? It was said that there was a dog stuck on some rocks on a river. It made the village go on a rescue mission to save this dog. It took a kayak, some doggy treats, and the power of social media.

It all started at 9:20 am when a lady spotted the dog so she posted it on Facebook saying that it had been there all night. Very soon the rescue started The first person who responded who had paddled his kayak out to the dog and tried to pull it on board the dog showed his gratitude by trying to bite him but the dog was too tired to bite hard but the doggy could swim so it doggy paddled to shore but whenever anyone approached it, it retreated back into the water.

Eventually, the dog ran away but was later found by a child care center so the lady armed herself with a leash and a pack of doggy treats but it was still a bit scared so she had to go slowly to gain its trust with the treats and then finally getting he leash onto it then she put the dog in her car three hours after the rescue once it was in her car it changed the dog she said that it straight away trusted her and got in the front seat she took the dog to the vets and was later collected by the animal rescue group at the bay of islands and took it to the vet there it was a 1 or 2-year-old crossbreed it had a few cuts on its feet but the dog didn't have a collar or a microchip it is now being looked after by the animal rescue lady until it finds its owner or new home.

Alone

Alone
All alone I was walking in the woods, sadness dripping over me. I fall down crying thinking about my past and what's going to happen in the future. I'm all alone in the world.

I curl up into a ball and try to sleep my memories haunt me then I hear something rustling. I scream inside me, I squish even further into a ball. The tree trunk is killing me but I don't want to move, the noise gets louder and louder and I try and get smaller and smaller I'm so scared I just want to die at this moment.

It gets closer and closer but then I realize it was just a rabbit and give a huge sigh, but then I see a ginormous shadow coming straight for me I crawl to the other side of the tree breathing heavily. I can hear it come to me but then the sound vanishes and it’s gone well for now.

isolation poem

Indeed annoying
Situation that's bad
Obviously restrictive
And lazy at times
Leading us to...
Activities
That we don't always like
Independence is good
Obviously, this is all for a reason
Not doing silly things in these times

A dangerous pet

A dangerous pet
Imagine you had a pet that wasn't like any other pet maybe it was a unicorn or a monster but what if it was a dragon, a dragon from a different dimension well I live in a castle on a hill and yep I have a dragon as a pet yeah it is cool but it's a lot of work you have to make it big meals for it and you have to feed it like a hundred times a day but it is fun to play with plus if you have enemies you can get your dragon to breathe fire on them fun right? And you can fly around and see all the sights but you have to be very careful because it could breathe fire on you and when you're flying it could throw you off so be careful. And another thing is when you don't have your homework for school because you didn't do it you can just say my dragon ate it. So there life with a dragon as a pet isn't the best but it's still fun.

The hole in the fence pt 2

I eventually get to sleep. In the morning I go downstairs to have some breakfast but no one's there. I call out and look around the house but there's nothing unusual. I look in the garden, still nothing but then I remember the man and the hole in the fence. I go over to it and look, theres nothing so I turn to walk away. Suddenly a scream pierce the air and straight away realize its my mums. I quickly jump the fence to find my parents. I walk around in the fog and BAM...a gun shot. I race around not knowing what to do. After stuggling on what to do I find a door, after a shake it opens and I carfully walk down the stairs into a basment. Its dark so I have to watch out, theres lots of screams so I need to get to my parents fast. After looking around the basment for awhile I find my parents but no one is there with them so I quickly rush them out. As we're going out I see the man again but then instead of disapering he floats up into the sky and I know he won't come back.

The hole in the fence pt 1

We just moved here, I dont know exactly where but I already hate it. My dad lost his job and my mum was a house cleaner so basically we were forced to move from New York. I didn't really care because I didn't really have any friends. I wasn't popular or rich and basically thats all that the other girls were looking for. When my parents told me that we were moving I expected a nice small town were no one was rich and where we could start out fresh. Well it wasnt that. It was an old spooky village were everyone looked at you weird and it was creepy. We get to the house and walk inside. We're in a neighbourhood that is quite old but the house is pretty nice. I look inside and then look at the garden. There's a big fence and a hole in it. I peek through it and see an old deck and garden I dont think any one lives there, so I go back into the house. The day goes and I'm almost ready for bed then I here a shriek from the other side of the fence. I run outside and peek through the fence and see nothing then I turn around and AHHH theres an old man right in front of me! I go to open my mouth and he disappeares. I'm in shock from what I just saw. I go back to my bedroom and lay on my bed. I look out the window scared of whats going to happen next....
