Walt: Find out what Tongan language week is.
Tonga celebrates the culture and language of more than  60,000 people. Their heritage and the people who live in New Zealand. Tongan language week is being held from Sunday the 2nd until Saturday the 8th. Some Tongan language people live in New Zealand, some live in Christ church and 650 people speak Tongan language. In 2013 there were over 60 000 people in New Zealand who identified Tongan. Currently, there were more Tongan people who were born in New Zealand than Tonga. Did you know 20% of Tongan people live in New Zealand. New Zealanders of Tongan descent will celebrate their heritage in the annual Tongan language week (Uike Katoanga i o e lea Faka-Tonga.)By Lola
